Chrome extension sockets

Description

Chrome extension sockets provide a male-to-female connection for extending a threaded plumbing connection. Available in six lengths, these fittings let you choose the extension that suits your installation. Select 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 50mm, 70mm or 100mm from the size dropdown before adding your chosen fitting to the basket.

The chrome finish gives the fittings a polished appearance, making them a useful option where connections remain visible. Each socket has a male thread at one end and a female thread at the other, allowing it to connect between compatible threaded components.

Chrome extension sockets in six lengths

Different installations require different amounts of space between connections. A shorter extension may suit a small adjustment, while a longer fitting can help reach a connection positioned further away. Having several lengths available makes it easier to select a fitting for the space you are working with.

Choose from the following options:

• 10mm extension socket
• 15mm extension socket
• 20mm extension socket
• 50mm extension socket
• 70mm extension socket
• 100mm extension socket

These measurements identify the available length options. They should not be confused with the connection’s thread size. Before ordering, check both the required extension length and the thread specifications of the components you intend to join.

Choosing your male-to-female extension socket

Measure the space available and consider how the fitting will sit once the threaded connections are assembled. Thread engagement affects the final distance between connected components, so the selected length should suit the complete arrangement.

Check that the socket is compatible with the intended application and surrounding fittings. Use the appropriate sealing method for the connection, and have installation carried out by a competent person. Once assembled, check the connections for leaks before putting the system into use.
